Open position (18 months) for a software engineer in the Dynamic Legged System Lab (dls.iit.it) at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Genova.

The aim is to develop software for space applications (i.e. planetary exploration) inside a project in collaboration with the European Space Agency.
The technical work involves the modification of existing locomotion software modules (originally made for quadrupeds) to be extended to hexapods.
The candidate should hold excellent Master degree in Computer Science or engineering/related areas and have previous experience in robotics.
